Long Service Award

Ian is a valuable member of our fabrication workshop team who has worked with us for just over ten years. He has a long-standing friendship with Mick Hawkins that dates back to their primary school days, and of course, he has known Mike since he was a young boy. In the 1980s, Ian and Mick first worked together doing subcontract fabrication work for Friswells in Banbury, where Ian spent fifteen years. He then joined Kraft Foods in Banbury but returned to Hawkins to take on part-time welding work. Ian retired from Kraft and now works full-time at Hawkins Steel.

Ian particularly enjoys tackling intricate steel projects, allowing him to apply his creative vision. Over the years, Ian has witnessed much growth in the fabrication workshop and has contributed to many significant steel projects. He is one of our most experienced welders!
