Hawkins Roofing Ltd were awarded the contract by Volvo to implement a new overclad roofing system equipped with solar panels alongside aesthetic and performance enhancements to the building envelope.
The scope encompassed 2500m2 of roofing work and cladding works of approximately 800m2. The project consisted of over-cladding the existing roofs of both the warehouse and office spaces as well as designing and installing a new lobby entrance for the primary customer hub and a dedicated oil and warranty store.
In addition, external brickwork walls and cladding were upgraded to create a striking new front facade, significantly enhancing thermal efficiency. Despite the bustling activity on-site with heavy goods vehicles manoeuvring externally and internal operations ongoing, the project was seamlessly executed without disrupting the day-to-day workflow.
