Working alongside a global market leading laundry installation and process company, Hawkins Steel Ltd were employed to undertake the detailing, fabrication and site erection of the complete structural support steelwork including:
- Two level structural steel frameworks
- Support steelwork for flooring
- Multiply access stairways and platforms
- Perimeter handrail protection to all platform areas
Our technical drawing office team, went to site in Milan and took all required measurements and produced all layout and fabrication drawings for approval, using the latest Tekla detailing software.
The materials for this project were continental steel sections and procured from one of our preferred steel stockholders in Germany, transported to our works in Banbury where all the required elements were fabricated in our state of the art workshop facility.
Upon completion of the fabrication process all the structural steelwork components were shot blasted and then fully powder coated to our clients unique system colour. The erection process was undertaken on site in two phases. Phase one was erecting steelwork over live production area. Phase two was the installation of a modular system in an open area of the manufacturing facility.
Our installation teams worked with the client on site to ensure minimal distruption occured and where necessary works were carried out through a night shift.
