Robert (Rob) Dale – Fabricator / Welder
Rob is a true Yorkshire man who started his career as a miner blacksmith apprentice in Yorkshire, which took 4 years to complete. He moved down south 25 years ago, and after a few different career paths, he started working at the Alcoa Extrusion Plant in Banbury, where he worked in maintenance. When Banbury Alcoa closed in 2003, he continued working with Alcoa in Russia for another 3 years until this contract ended.
On his return to the UK, Rob contacted his friend Les Tucker, here at Hawkins and it was Les who spoke to Mike about starting his next career at Hawkins as a fabricator/welder. Rob has never looked back and has been with Hawkins ever since – 15 years! For the last two years, he has been subcontracted to Fine Lady Bakery in Banbury as a maintenance engineer at reduced hours of 3 days a week. What an interesting career you’ve had, Rob!
Congratulations, and thank you for your 15 years of service!
