Marta, Operations Co-ordinator, holds a very important role in ensuring the smooth running of Hawkins Roofing. Marta shares her Hawkins journey and what her job role involves.
I joined Hawkins a month before the pandemic kicked in, so getting to learn my new role and meeting my new colleagues via Teams was something out of the ordinary. However, this definitely cemented my bond with the company.
After 3 years in the roofing admin role, I was ready for a new challenge, so when the operations role came up, I jumped at the opportunity.
I’m now responsible for scheduling the roofing teams but a large chunk of my time revolves around assisting the general manager, from procurement to liaising with the clients and subcontractors to supporting his site teams.
Through continuous support, I’ve also learnt how to run small roofing projects and have already managed a handful of small jobs from quote to completion.
I like to keep busy and learn new skills, and Hawkins definitely provides plenty of both!
