After recently donating a new defibrillator to the local Frank Wise School, Hawkins took the decision to purchase one for our Head Office facility on the Thorpe Way Industrial Estate in Banbury.
Our priority will always be the Health and Safety of our staff. With that in mind we felt it was a requirement to have a defibrillator permanently available. All staff have been given training on the importance of the defibrillator and how is should be used by our in–house Health and Safety Advisor.
Statistics show that when somebody goes into cardiac arrest, for every one minute it takes for the defibrillator to reach the patient their chances of survival reduce by 10%.
We hope the defibrillator will never be needed but feel confident knowing this life saving equipment is there should it ever by required.
