Hawkins Roofing Ltd were proud to embark on a comprehensive project for Hall & Pickles in Manchester. The roofing area covered circa 12,000m2 and involved safely removing and disposing of double-skin cement-bonded asbestos from the roof surface, followed by installing a thermally efficient composite roof and roof lights covering 15% of the roof area.
Additionally, the project included the demolition of the existing front entrance and the design and installation of a new entrance. External brickwork received an upgrade, featuring aesthetically pleasing and thermally efficient cladding in anthracite and metallic silver, meticulously designed from concept to completion in collaboration with our Hawkins’ internal design team.
Despite the ongoing activities in the large factory and office facilities, which remained fully operational throughout the project, the logistical coordination was handled with great efficiency. This guaranteed minimal interference with the client’s business operations, even amidst one of the busiest times in the steel industry’s history.
