Hawkins Projects Ltd were awarded a new build contract for the construction of a new HiTech industrial facility based on the Wildmere Industrial Estate in Oxfordshire.
The construction process involved ground clearance, ground stabilization, and piling, as well as the installation of a structural steel frame with an integrated mezzanine floor. The building also features a fully insulated roof and wall envelope and includes integrated offices, covering a total area of 2000m2.
In order to meet the delivery programme, the erection of the structural steelwork and building envelope commenced simultaneously at the office end and centre of the building, enabling us to work on multiple areas concurrently.
Due care was taken throughout the build to mitigate the impact on other business estate residents. Dust and noise reduction measures were implemented throughout the works, as well as careful traffic management/planning to reduce disruption to the community and surrounding businesses.
The fully integrated offices were completely fitted out to a very high standard, and this building received an EPC A rating.
