Hawkins Projects Ltd recently carried out demolition work of a derelict public convenience in Banbury town centre.
On commencing works we discovered a pile of coins, which appeared to have fallen through a gap in the coin collection box.
Cherwell District Council decided to donate the sum to local charity Katharine House Hospice, which provides specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting conditions.
The council chairman, Cllr David Hughes has kindly added £100 to the contribution and The Hawkins Group was more than happy to match this and have donated another £100.
We’re proud to support this fantastic local hospice.
